Employment Type: Part-Time / 24 Hours Weekly

Description :

  • Holy Cross' Neonatal ICU (NICU) is known for focusing on patients’ needs and combining compassionate care with the most sophisticated monitoring in our Level II NICU.

  • This role reports to the Director of Labor & Delivery.

Responsibilities :

  • Working closely with Neonatologist, Pediatricians, Respiratory Therapist, Social Workers and other professionals to provide a care for infants admitted to the NICU.

  • Attend high risk deliveries (including multiple gestation, meconium, congenital defects).

  • Administer medications, inserting IV lines, utilizing ventilators/CPAP and perform tests ordered by the Physician.

  • Providing education to the family on home care in preparation for discharge.

  • Charting via electronic medical records using EPIC.

What you will need

Required:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program; basic professional nursing degree (with requirement to obtain a BSN/MSN within a specific time frame).

  • Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State as a Registered Nurse (RN).

  • BLS certification (American Heart Association).

  • NRP certification.

  • At least 2 years of nursing experience in Level II NICU or higher.

Preferred:

  • BSN or MSN preferred

  • STABLE certification; or obtain within 1st year of hire
