Veralto Marketing and Sustainability Intern in Glen Allen, Virginia

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Marketing/ Sustainability Intern will collaborate with both the Marketing and the EHS teams. This role will contribute to ChemTreat’s sustainability strategy though researching sustainability options as well as evaluating process improvements to help reduce water, energy, and waste across our facilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Research options to make our HQ Office more sustainable – reduce solid waste and reduce CO2 through energy savings.

  • Evaluate water usage at our three manufacturing plants, compare water bills to actual meter readings, support water saving projects as needed.

  • Support water meter installation at Texas facility, visit site and work with local personnel to understand where we need to place the meters. Liaise with meter vendor to ensure successful installation.

SUPPLEMENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create documentation of research findings that can be used to present data to cross-functional teams withen the organization

  • Other duties as requested by supervisor and department manager.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High school education required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Constantly required to sit and occasionally required to walk, stand, climb (includes stairs), balance, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch or crawl, and talk, hear, and smell

  • Constantly using hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, and computer keyboards.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

WORKING CONDITIONS & ENVIRONMENT

  • Consists of an indoor work office environment with good ventilation, adequate lighting, and low noise levels.
