job summary:

Drafter opportunity with a client located in the Central area of Long Island, NY. This position will work with multiple internal departments and be responsible for creating part drawings from blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer generated reports. This position is paid hourly at $19-$21/hr dependent on experience.

responsibilities:

• Working with blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer generated reports creating part drawings for the Design Engineering Team

• Work with Customer Service to ensure drawings and drawing revisions for small parts orders are complete, accurate and submitted on time to Customers

• Work with multiple departments to include Engineering, Manufacturing, and Customer Service managing multiple projects

• Work independently and execute projects quickly and accurately

• Other responsibilities as requested

Qualifications:

• Associates Degree in an engineering discipline or the equivalent combination of education and experience

• Demonstrated hands-on AutoCAD experience

• Good mechanical aptitude with g the ability to quickly learn new product concepts

• Ability to work with Customer specifications, blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer generated reports to create part drawings

• Attention to detail and good math skills (the ability to interpret fractions, decimals, etc)

• Knowledge of Visual Basic, Signlab, Engravelab, and Inventor is a plus
