BAE Systems Project Technical Manager - CDRL Manager in Hill AFB, Utah

Job Description

BAE Systems is seeking an exceptional, Project Manager for an exciting opportunity to support the Air Force's acquisition of the next generation Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM).

The Project Manager will work directly with the Sentinel Program Payloads Division as an analyst and advisor for Earned Value Management (EVM) efforts and the analysis of performance data sets provided by Prime Contractor IPMDAR/CDRL submissions.

As a program manager, you will assist throughout the plan, solicit and award processes for the advanced procurement (AP) and low rate initial production (LRIP) lot contracts. Based on the approved Acquisition Strategy, Acquisition Program Baseline, and Milestone B Acquisition Decision Memorandum, assists developing schedules and implementing activities. You will analyze and incorporate planned production quantities, manufacturing readiness level maturation, manufacturing supplier estimates and Government-Prime Team performance in developing and executing the production and deployment phase of the Sentinel program. You will be responsible for standardized work for future products alongside the Reentry System/Reentry Vehicle and Milestone-C teams. In steady state, they will drive continuous improvement projects.

The main purpose of the position is to provide status to the executive leadership regarding CDRL reviews, prime contractor EVM Metrics and the IMS milestone forecast achievability. This position will seek to create schedule margin, analyze EVM and manufacturing data, assess material risks, staffing constraints, or eliminate processes which do not generate value.

Day-to-day activities include Product lifecycle management, CM/DM and CDRL oversight, contract execution management, contractor incentives management, affordability and life cycle cost reduction, IPMDAR & control account reviews, PMRs, and government furnished property coordination, RFI and CRM resolution to name a few.

Why SENTINEL? The Sentinel Program is an enormous and complex Mega-Project modernizing the entire ICBM weapon system deployed across tens of thousands of square miles in five states. Without any doubt, Sentinel is one of the DoD s most important acquisition efforts for the next decade, if not longer. It includes a complete refurbishment of hundreds of aging Minuteman III ICBM facilities to secure and support a newly designed, technologically advanced ballistic missile. It will also provide an entirely new command and control system as well as vast array of required support equipment specifically engineered to operate and sustain the new weapon system over the decades ahead. Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • 5 years related work experience including program management using EVM.

  • Experience using EVMS to drive program performance.

  • Experience in the fundamentals of contract management from the development of acquisition requirements, solicitation/proposal, negotiation, contract formation, contract performance, and contract closeout.

  • Familiarity with Continuous Improvement processes.

  • Working knowledge of Jira, Confluence, and MS Office applications.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Understanding interconnections, relationships, and emerging program behavior while using DoD Earned Value Management System (EVMS) techniques.

  • Comprehensive knowledge regarding the performance management baseline, statement of work, work authorization documents, CAP, RAM and risk register.

  • Working knowledge of advance procurement, LRIP and the appropriate use of affordability management processes. Includes Life Cycle Cost Estimates.

  • Experience managing manpower requirements, line and sub-assembly balancing data, and expectancy time performances including process documentation, control of design to EBOM/MBOM release, and prototype assembly issues.

  • Exhibit a high level of computer literacy.

  • Engineering/Technical Management experience.

  • Experience with DoD weapon systems.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $89280 - $151740

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
