GE Vernova Clean Room Technician - 2nd Shift in Houston, Texas

Position Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Visually inspect parts prior to cleaning process.

  • Clean and handle LM turbine parts in accordance with procedures and quality processes using immersion tanks, pressure washing equipment, hoses, brushes and scrubbing tools. Additionally, compressed air nozzles and dry ice cleaning equipment is in use.

  • Ensure removal of grease, oil, dirt, coking, soot and other turbine soils resulting in clean turbine components.

  • Feed clean components to subsequent operations including FPI and bench inspections.

  • Maintain and replace chemicals, cleaning solutions, and chemical cleaning and rinse immersion tanks

  • Transport parts between shop areas as directed.

  • Understanding of Aero Energy LM gas turbine parts and equipment including but not limited to Quality Alerts, Standard Practices and Repair Manuals.

  • Ensure compliance with waste water policies

  • Train and mentor new hires.

  • Serve as change agent to help improve on current processes.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED)

  • Must be able to read and communicate in the English language.

  • Ability to operate cranes, forklifts, and other material moving equipment per EHS policies

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and work in both an indoor and outdoor manufacturing / warehouse environment.

  • Ability to understand and follow work scope instructions.

  • Ability to organize and prioritize work and to meet deadlines.

  • Verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to read and interpret industrial manual instructions

Desired Position Requirements:

  • Prior Aviation or LM-Aero experience preferred

  • Ability to work in a team environment, across shifts, and overtime as required.

  • Computer literacy with SFM, Kronos, and other basic ERP tools.

  • Capacity to handle multiple simultaneous projects.

The pay for this position is $19.75 /Hour USD. This position is also eligible for 1.00 Hour Night Shift Bonus as well as a 4% Aero Alliance Bonus
