Job Statement:Under general supervision of Right-of-Way Supervisor, cuts, trims or removes brush and trees from energized electric lines located in utility rights-of-way.

Responsibilities:

1. Promotes positive company image through outstanding customer relations, prompt service, quality work and adherence to company standards.
2. Operates bucket truck, climbs trees and/or works from the ground trimming and/or removing brush, trees and/or vines located in company rights-of-way.
3. Uses various types of line clearance tools and equipment (bucket trucks, climbing gear, gas and hydraulic a chain saw, pole saws, chippers, etc.) in a safe, acceptable manner.
4. Ensures all line clearance tools and equipment are maintained in an acceptable, operational condition and inspected prior to use.
5. Trains less experienced personnel in proper line clearance techniques, procedures and safe work practices.
6. Answers customer questions and addresses customer concerns at the job site.
7. Handles all work-related documentation.
8. Performs other work-related documentation.
9. Promotes safe work practices for the general public as well as own personal safety and uses all personal protective equipment.
10. Other duties as assigned.
