USG Corporation Account Manager, Corporate Accounts in Illinois

_POSITION SUMMARY_ This position supports Corporate Accounts as the primary contact for strategic clients. Incumbent meets with prospective influencers, develops a solution to meet critical needs, and presents this solution to gain customer agreement. The Account Manager represents and leverages the full USG product portfolio, including Ceilings, Gypsum, and Performance Materials to solve customers’ challenges and opportunities. Responsible for building long-term client relationships.

This position will report into the Chicago HQ office, but will not require relocation to Chicago.

Position band ranges from Exempt 8 – 9; band and corresponding midpoint may be adjusted based on candidate skills, knowledge, education and experience.

_KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES_ * Strategy o Negotiate opportunities to ensure top and bottom line growth for USG o Prospects within assigned segments for new opportunities for growth** * Collaboration o Primary contact for targeted strategic clients within their assigned segment. Represents the full USG portfolio to prospective clients o Collaborates with Architectural Solutions and facilitates meetings with client design staff to communicate client needs and gain support for potential solutions o Collaborates with BU Product Management to support product development and innovation o Engages with high-level contacts to understand their building needs and challenges o Communicates solutions to clients to gain agreement for a preferred supplier/client relationship including specifications and contractual agreement o Collaborates with Field Sales and Architectural Sales to support execution of client projects across multiple geographies * Development o Leads the development of tailored solutions that deliver value to each client o Builds long-term client relationships that build on our success
