USG Corporation Sales Development Manager (Building Envelope/Securock ExoAir 430) - North Central in Illinois

*POSITION SUMMARY: * The Sales Development Manager is responsible for sales of the USG / Tremco Securock ExoAir 430 system as part of the USG Building Envelope Solutions business. This position will also be an integral member of the management team that leads the continued development of the USG Building Envelope Solutions business and the introduction of the USG / Tremco Securock ExoAir 430 system to various markets, channels and applications.


_Assigned Region:_ North Central – ND, SD, NE, IA, WI, IL, IN, MI, OH, MO, KY, KS * Ideal candidate will be based in Chicago, IL/Corporate Headquarters


_KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES_ Includes the following and performs additional responsibilities as assigned * Sales leadership function for Securock ExoAir 430 system in designated region. * Manages the execution of key account business plans and is the primary lead of the account management process. Serve as a business advisor to key customers including General Contractors, Per-fab/panelizers, and approved installing contractors. * Coordination of USG’s regional Building Envelope Specification Sales Managers, USG Field Sales Teams, USG Architectural Sales Teams and Tremco Sales Teams to manage the development of new sales opportunities for the Securock ExoAir 430 system. * Determine & develop the best channel alignment to maximize our success in all vertical building envelope markets, specifically focusing on health, education and federal market segments. * Develop strategic account strategy focusing on focus market segments listed above. * Work with product management and USG field sales to develop and maintain price and policy levels throughout the market. Facilitate consistent price and policy tactics by understanding price and policy relationships. * Effectively communicate and coordinate with all USG and Tremco field sales teams. * Provide sales/marketing leadership for field sales, and marketing plans and programs. * Manage administrative duties, such as operating within budget, Salesforce.com leadership, etc. * Ability to absorb and distill technical subject matter related to vertical building envelope market and the greater building envelope industry, ideally with all key influencers, including specifiers, contractors and distributors.

_KEY QUALIFICATIONS:_


Education * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent field experience

Travel Requirements * Travel time up to and over 50% servicing respective market and within the assigned region * * Experience * Minimum of 10 years of sales in the building materials industry preferred. * 7-10 years’ experience as an accomplished USG sales representative is preferred * Experience with territory management and job tracking preferred.

Required Skills * Salesforce.com power user preferred * Strong business acumen and professionalism. * Strong communication/interpersonal skills, including: negotiating, presentation, professional selling, conflict resolution and relationship building. * Self-motivated with a focus on working to and exceeding targets. * Effective and independent time and scheduling management of activities. * Ability to set and self-manage priorities to ensure maximizing of account development maximization for both existing and new accounts.
