U.S. Marine Corps AIR TERMINAL MANAGER in Iwakuni, Japan

Summary You will serve as a AIR TERMINAL MANAGER in the Air Transportation Division ofMARINE CORPS AIR STATION IWAKUNI . ACCESS TO MEDICAL AND DENTAL CARE IN JAPAN IS EXTREMELY LIMITED. Responsibilities You will serve as the Aerial Port Terminal Manager focal point for orchestrating daily and long-range utilization of aerial port sections to ensure accomplishment of assigned missions as well as maximum support for other flight line operations. You will closely monitor airlift capability to ensure sufficient airlift, personnel, equipment and facilities are available to move forecasted cargo, passengers, and mail. You will establish, revise, or review policies, procedures, mission objectives, and organization design for aerial port operations, as necessary to eliminate work related problems or barriers to mission accomplishment, promote team building, You will maintain an effective and aggressive quality control program, providing consistent high quality service. You will monitor the aerial port's APEX load planning/aircraft loading program, ensuring the air terminal possesses an independently viable, self-contained load planning/aircraft loading capability. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing managerial oversight of all aspects of port and air terminal operations as it applies to cargo and passenger travel, personnel management, and monitoring budgetary and supply requirements. Education Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study - accounting, business administration, business or commercial law, commerce, economics, engineering, finance, industrial management, statistics, traffic management, transportation, motor mechanics, nautical science, marine affairs, marine engineering, marine transportation, or other fields related to the position. For Marine Transportation Specialist positions, education obtained in a Federal, State, or other accredited Merchant Marine Academy is qualifying. or Specialized Experience (for positions above GS-5): For positions other than Marine Transportation, experience in maintaining, retailing, purchasing, or procurement of automotive, rail, air, bus, or other transportation equipment or services, or in the operation of a commercial transportation facility or terminal. This experience must have demonstrated knowledge of fleet operations; familiarity with Federal, State, and municipal regulations governing the use of transportation vehicles; and the maintenance of inventories and cost computations. Overseas allowances may be authorized in accordance with Department of State. A service agreement may be negotiated in accordance with the Joint Traval Regulation(JTR), applicable Department of Navy(DoN) policies, and local Marine Corps Bases Japan. A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized. Commute area is defined as the geographic area surrounding the duty location in which people can reasonably be expected to travel back and forth daily.
