We are searching for a diligent Family Law Paralegal to join our team in Sugarland, Texas. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting our legal team with various tasks including drafting legal documents, assisting clients with paperwork, and managing court schedules. This role offers long term growth, ideal for someone looking to make immediate impact and gain valuable experience in the legal industry.

Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with discovery processes and paperwork ensuring all information is accurate and timely

• Draft correspondence and legal documents with precision and attention to detail

• Manage the sending and receiving of letters and faxes, maintaining a smooth flow of communication

• Schedule court hearings, mediations, depositions, and other appointments, ensuring all parties are informed and prepared

• File documents with the court in a timely and efficient manner, adhering to all legal procedures and guidelines

• Support attorneys with various case-related tasks, providing vital assistance to ensure cases are handled effectively

• Answer incoming phone calls, providing professional and courteous service to all callers

• Maintain a neat and presentable office environment, ensuring a professional image is presented at all times

• Leverage your skills in Adobe Acrobat, LexisNexis, and Microsoft Excel to carry out tasks efficiently and effectively

• Handle case management, calendar management, complaint handling, and trial preparation as part of your daily responsibilities

Requirements • Must possess a bachelor's degree in paralegal studies or related field.

• Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Excel.

• Familiarity with case management software and LexisNexis.

• Experience with management systems is required.

• Strong understanding of billing functions in a legal context.

• Excellent briefing and complaint handling skills.

• Must have experience in calendar management and claim administration.

• Prior experience in discovery and trial preparation is highly desirable.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

• Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Must have strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• A minimum of two years experience in a Paralegal role is preferred.

• Must be able to work independently and also as a part of a team.

• Strong knowledge of legal terminology and principles.

• Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

• Strong research and report-generating skills.

• Must be able to maintain professionalism and a positive service attitude at all times.
