Robert Half Accounting Manager in La Jolla, California

Description We are offering an opportunity for an Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in La Jolla, California. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations and overseeing the financial reporting process. You will also be tasked with developing and maintaining effective accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial data.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting

• Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to support strategic decision-making

• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors for annual audits and tax filings

• Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with payroll tax regulations

• Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and financial performance to identify areas for improvement and risk mitigation

• Collaborate with senior management to provide financial insights and recommendations for business growth and profitability

• Stay current with accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance and best practices

• Use accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) proficiently and demonstrate strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in Accounting Functions.

• Proven experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Prior experience in Auditing is required.

• Familiarity with Billing Functions is essential.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks is necessary for this role.

• CPA certification is required.

• Ability to manage, guide, and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.

• A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.

• Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.

• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, project management and communication skills.

• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

• Professional and proactive work ethic.

• High proficiency in MS Office and popular computer software packages.
