Global Concepts Charter School is seeking a Math Intervention Specialist to work with Elementary School students who require strategic intervention in small group and individualized settings. The focus of the teacher is to develop a student centered system interventions that effectively work to close the achievement gap for students who need additional support in math.

Responsbilities include:

• Providing individual and small group instruction designed to meet indivdual needs and motivate students.

• Responding to data to meet needs of all students.

• Developing lesson plans and uses instructional materials suitable for verbal and/or visual instruction of students with a wide range of intellectual, physical and emotional maturity.

• Monitoring students progress towards individualized goals tlhrough regular assessment practices.

• Establishing and maintaining standards of student behavior required to achieve effective participation and learning in all activities and lessons.

• Collecting and assembling current research and best strategies for mathematics and make available to classroom teachers.

• Collaborating with classroom teachers.
