DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: This is a 1st-shift Leadperson (Fabrication) opportunity, for Plants 1 & 4.

The Leadperson is responsible for daily planning, directing, training, problem solving and general oversight of Lancaster Plants 1 & 4. They are accountable to meet production schedules while ensuring conformance to safety, quality, and housekeeping standards. They will assume the duties of the shift supervisor when appropriate or designated. 

Areas of responsibility for our Leadpersons:   * Assist, guide, and instruct assigned personnel to perform their job duties as needed to meet expected standards of performance and achieve daily schedule requirements.  * Assist at all work centers as necessary to achieve planned production schedule and make all scheduled shipments.  * Train and develop new co-workers in all areas of on-the-job training, housekeeping, safety rules and regulations, and company policies and procedures. Complete required training checklist.  * Recommend changes in work organization, methods, processes, equipment, and schedules to improve safety, quality, productivity and overall costs.  * Maintain and submit on time all records and reports necessary and/or assigned including, but not limited to, time sheets providing allocation of hours worked, production/schedule reports, material usage, training checklists, certification records and Toolbox Talk forms.  * Contact other production areas, support departments and administrative personnel as needed to gather information, resolve product or material difficulties and report product movements.

Our next team member will possess the following:  * High School Diploma or GED required  * Three (3) years of manufacturing experience required  * Strong communication skills, including verbal and written  * Demonstrated leadership ability  * Valid PA driver's licence required  * Certified in forklift and crane operation required
