U.S.FacilitiesInc, an integrated facilities management company,isseekingaMechanicalTechniciantojoinouroperationsteam for our location in a Lansing, MI automotive facility. Typicalwork scheduleswillvary basedonbusinessdemand.

Thisposition requires anunderstanding ofmechanical maintenance concepts.TheMechanical Technicianisresponsibleforassistinghigher-leveltechniciansinrespondingtoworkordersand providing service and feedback tothecustomer onallwork orders, troubleshooting,and providingpreventivemaintenanceonthefacility'smechanicalequipment,fixtures,andsystems. Primary responsibilitiesinclude butarenotlimited toperforming a variety ofpreventive maintenance,correctivemaintenance, andtroublecalls.Thispositionwillassistthemoresenior facilitymaintenancemechanicsinrespondingtoworkorders,providingserviceandfeedbackto thecustomer onallhotandcoldcalls,andperforming preventivemaintenanceonvarioustypes ofequipment asscheduled. general maintenance ofequipment willalsoberequired.

Responsibilities:  *Assists theteam withmaintaining, operating, andtroubleshootingmechanical systems andequipmentsuchaspumps,bearings,blowers,fans,gearboxes,airhandlers,andother equipment as required. Conducts preventivemaintenance inspectionsandperforms requiredpreventative maintenance actionssuchaslubrication, cleaning, filter changes, etc.

*Performspreventivemaintenanceasscheduled intheComputerizedMaintenance Management System (CMMS).

*Recommendsmeasurestoimprovemaintenance methodsandequipment performance.

*Understandscompanypoliciesandenforcessafety regulations.

*Safely performs functions oftheposition including following propersafety guidelines suchasjobhazardanalysisandlockout/tagoutproceduresandwearingPPEasrequired.

*Operatesavarietyofequipmentsuchashandtools,laptopcomputers,anddiagnostic hardware to perform work.

*Demonstratesflexibilityintheday-to-dayactivitiesandschedulingforthebenefitofthe customer.

*Otherdutiesmaybeassigned.

Mayberequiredtoperformadditionalordifferentdutiesfromthosesetforthabovetoaddress business needs and changing business practices.

Minimum Requirements: *High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent *Cope with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable levels of performance and overall contribution are maintained. Preferred Qualifications: *Knowledge of facility mechanical systems such as heating and ventilation, plumbing, conveyors, and R.O. systems. *Knowledge of machinery and equipment such as pumps, motors gearboxes, supply and exhaust fans, power transmission components, cranes, hoists *Experience in operations and maintenance in an industrial, large commercial, or logistics distribution environment *High attention to detail *Good verbal and written communication skills *Friendly, cooperative, customer service-minded attitude; team player *Ability to work with little or no direction at times *Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form *Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment, including applying proper safety practices and following procedures while performing maintenance tasks, Other Attributes: *Must be willing to work overtime when required.May be required to work holidays and weekends.
