What you will do

We are seeking to add a * Manager Fabrication* to our team in our Lexington Production Plant. This role you will be responsible for the supervision of up to 20 team members and multiple departments to meet established production schedules and maintain product quality standards. Some of your core responsibilities will include:

• Demonstrate leadership skills in a team environment; supervise employees including specific workstation assignments, training of employees, approval of absences or overtime, participation in selection of new employees; new employee orientation, employee appraisals and taking disciplinary action as appropriate.

• Insure employees follow safety procedures and other company rules and regulations. Solicit employee input regarding procedures, methods, tooling etc.

• Periodically check in-process and finished production for quality and implement corrective action or procedural changes when necessary, so that defects are minimized.

• Monitor the volume and quality of output and adjust tasks, timing, equipment’s set-up, or inputs so that production specifications are met, and resources are used efficiently.

• Bring lean expertise to the team and develop continuous improvement activities and WOW.

• Work w/ employees to create development plans that align w/ their career goals while having regular reviews of their performance.

Who are you?

We are looking for a resourceful and responsible individual who proficient and skilled in manufacturing supervision.  The candidate we’re looking for should be keen on teamwork and time management.

In addition, excellent communication and presentation skills are necessary as is the need for fluency in speaking and writing English to communicate successfully with internal stakeholders at different levels of the organization.

Education & Experience: This position requires the following -

•B.S. Degree in related field; or equivalent combination of education and

experience

•3-5 years manufacturing experience

•1-3 years leadership experience preferred
