Job Description: We are looking for an engineer with experience in architectural products or product development to lead technical development and support in ceilings products and systems, including the new USG EnsembleTMMonolithic Acoustical Ceiling System. This position will involve a wide range of hands-on activities including solution development, product testing, system improvement, and manufacturing support. Candidate should demonstrate flexibility and creativity within a dynamic environment and can work independently with a minimum of supervision. Job Responsibility * Maintain safe work practices and maintain work environment to facilitate safety. * Work closely with a cross functional team to develop new products and product extensions in the ceilings products area. * Lead the technical side through the entire product development cycle including concept generation, design, prototyping, evaluation, manufacturing, and commercialization. * Generate and manage supporting documentation for product quality and manufacturing support. * Provide technical support to sales/marketing/customers as needed, including mock up installation and job site investigation, to support business unit initiatives and strategic goals. * Manage the short- and medium-term research track, deliver projects on time and on budget.

Job Requirements * Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Chemical engineering, or closely related field. Master degree preferred. * 5-10 years of related industry experience in product development or product engineering. >3 years of experience in industrial manufacturing process strongly preferred. * Self-starter with excellent project management skills. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective collaborative relationships. * Strong problem solving and decision making skills to create customer-centric and practical solutions that drive business results. * Attention to details and accuracy. * Some travel will be needed.
