Overview of Position:
The Transdev Business Solutions Team is a diverse cross-functional teamof IT and transit operational professionals. The team designs, develops, implements, supports, and optimizes the commercial and proprietary business technology solutions for Transdev operations. Focused on innovation and customer service we support the platforms and users that drive continued improvement in Transdev’s operations.
Reporting to the Director of Business Solutions this position plays a key role in supporting Transdev’s proprietary dispatch, scheduling, and timekeeping system (VDS). This position will combine strong technical SQL ability, strong logic skills, good communication, curiosity and coachability.
Salary Range: $125,000-$140,000 annually

Key Responsibilities:
Operational Support
Prioritize workflow based on operational need and financial impact.
Program rule revisions and corrections using SQL logical, SQL queries, and stored procedures.
Provide assistance and support to Business Solutions and operational staff for testing and validating code changes and end results. This may include creating test databases, migrating and/or updating stored procedures, programming, and developing SQL scripts, tables, views, stored procedures, functions, constraints etc.…
Operational Improvement and Development
Work with the Director of Business Solutions to migrate the legacy payroll rule coding for legacy databases to the new SQL / variable based rule set.
Assist Transdev management by providing relevant data through SQL queries.
Work in collaboration with team members to find creative solutions that improve performance through a continuous incremental improvement process.
Operational Effectiveness
Work on special ETL and integration projects at the direction of the Business Solutions Director.
Effectively balances and prioritizes workloads among project work development, support maintenance, and operations (including on-call rotation).
Document changes, corrections, and improvements to ensure the sustainability and supportability of the development.
Other duties as assigned.
Education, Licensing, and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent direct job experience
Experience:
- Minimum of three (3)years of experience with Microsoft SQL scripting and programming
Skills and Knowledge Required:
Experience with MS SQL Server 2016+
Experience with Windows Server OS
Solid understanding of Microsoft SQL
Experience with SQL development and stored procedures
Understanding and experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
Experience withETL processes
MS Tools (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams, etc.).
Good knowledge of various Data Structures and Optimization techniques
Skills and Knowledge Preferred:
Experience with payroll systems and management
Experience with SQL Server Reporting services
Experience with .net
Travel outside of immediate area of up to 10%
