Role Purpose

The Maintenance Manager will be expected to Manage themselves with all aspects of operational, compliance and budgetary process within the contract. In general, your responsibilities will be to carry out efficient running of the Engineering Team, Reactive and Planned Maintenance and associated functions. This is a key appointment within the Business Unit and will require the individual to be a Strong Leader and have clear understanding of all financial and operational procedures relevant to the job role.

Top three responsibilities

  • Line Management responsibility for the Engineering Team and/or Operational Support Team to include Statutory Compliance and Planned & Reactive Maintenance

  • Resolving escalations from the Helpdesk and the client within reasonable time; ensuring solutions are implemented quickly and effectively

  • Engaging with key stakeholders within CBRE GWS.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overseeing all technical matters relating to the effective Plant and Equipment Maintenance on the site and ensuring that the CBRE Safety Rules and Procedures are adhered to by all site personnel.

  • Liaison with Contract Manager(s) and Client(s) to ensure all maintenance work is carried out in accordance with site policies and procedures and within health and safety legislative requirements.

  • To carry-out Technical and Quality Audits to ensure sites are technically and statutory compliant.

  • To manage the site Supervisors including carrying out appraisals of the site technical team.

  • To agree specifications with the Client for extra works and then liase with prospective subcontractors and prepare quotation to be submitted to the client via web quote.

General Responsibilities

  • To provide professional control of all Electrical and Mechanical facilities / systems / works on the site.

  • To keep abreast of Engineering Developments and Technology advancements and how they could be implemented on your site.

  • Give advice to Account / Contract Manager on Technical Competences required to fulfil the Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance requirements and, as necessary, arrange Technical Training for Site Staff.

  • Management and control of all technical matters relating to plant and equipment maintenance including existing equipment, new works and future upgrade works

  • Identify potential technical improvements for existing plant and equipment maintenance to facilitate improved reliability and /or cost reduction with fully supported documentation
