A&P Mechanic with Avionics Experience

Job Purpose: The A&P Mechanic with avionics experience role provides maintenance of all aircraft and equipment at Dynamic Aviation's California MedFly base located in Los Alamitos, CA.

Duties:

• Follow directions and remain on task

• Communicate with the customer and pilots about aircraft issues

• Disassemble and clean aircraft components/parts

• Organize and maintain shop floor /environment from clutter or debris

• Perform routine and non-routine aircraft maintenance

• Inspect, maintain, and install electronic systems, such as navigational systems, radio communication systems, and other avionics systems

• Perform operational/functional checks on aircraft electrical systems and equipment

• Operate equipment to test, diagnose, locate, and repair deficiencies

• Utilize a strong understanding of electronic theory to effect timely repairs

• Perform basic soldering, harness build up and installation including wire stripping and crimping, fault isolation and repair of avionics and electrical system failures

• Read and interpret technical data including original equipment manufacturer maintenance manuals, illustrated part catalogs, wiring diagrams, service bulletins, etc.

• Troubleshoot and repair overall aircraft systems

• Complete required paperwork to comply with Federal Regulations and Company procedures

• Other duties as assigned

Skills/Qualifications:

• High school education required, some college preferred

• A&P License required

• 2+ years of aircraft maintenance experience (experience with turboprop aircraft, specifically King Air preferred)

• 2+ years of recent hands-on avionics maintenance and modification experience (King Air experience preferred)

• Extensive ability to read and use schematics and blueprints

• Work well with others in team environment

• Technical aptitude

• Ability to:

• Crawl in and out of tight spaces

• Comfortably work at elevated heights of at least 20 feet for extended periods of time

• Lift, balance and carry 50 lbs.

• Work in exterior weather conditions

Job Experience: E xperience working with hands, repairing machines, troubleshooting, maintaining, modifying and improving all areas of aviation systems including electrical, sheet metal, general airframe and power plant in an aviation operation.

Must be willing to relocate to Los Alamitos, California.
