JOB REQUIREMENTS: This position assists with the installation and ongoing maintenance of traffic devices, aimed at ensuring the smooth and safe movement of people and goods throughout the Madison metro region. This leadworker position is situated within the Electrical Section of Traffic Engineering, operating at a highly skilled technical level equivalent to that of a master electrician. Daily tasks may involve working with live electricity. Under limited supervision, this position is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the installation and repair of complex electrical/electronic computerized equipment associated with traffic signals, street lighting, fiber optic network, and other City-maintained equipment and systems.
