Ceco (an ASSA ABLOY brand company) is looking to add a Quality Manager to our Team! This is a fully on-site role based out of our Milan, Tennessee manufacturing facility.

ASSA ABLOY is a global leader in opening access solutions. Our Group focuses on the manufacturing of steel doors and frames within the commercial market catering to such industries as hospitality, healthcare, aerospace, defense, sporting venues and education.

What would you do as our Quality Manager?

You will be an integral member of the Operations Management Team tasked with leading, developing, and maintaining quality initiatives. You will establish and maintain quality standards, protocols, and procedures through the application of continuous improvement processes, root cause analysis, statistical process control techniques, product inspections, quality system audits, and other quality related and tools.

You would also:

  • Establish and maintain quality standards, protocols, and procedures in alignment with industry regulations and company objectives .

  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce defects through LEAN methodologies .

  • Collaborate with suppliers to maintain quality standards for incoming materials and components. Conduct supplier audits and establish performance metrics to ensure consistency and reliability .

  • Implement robust quality control measures throughout the production process, including inspections, testing, and validation procedures, to detect and address deviations from quality standards .

  • Lead investigations into quality issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions to mitigate recurrence and improve overall quality performance .

  • Provide training and support to employees on quality management systems, tools, and techniques to foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality consciousness across all levels of the organizatio n.

  • Stay abreast of regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations to uphold product safety.

  • Utilize data analytics tools to analyze quality metrics, trends, and performance indicators. Generate regular reports to communicate quality performance and drive decision-making .

  • Act as a liaison between quality assurance and customer-facing teams to address customer feedback, complaints, and concerns. Strive to exceed customer expectations and enhance satisfaction levels .

  • Perform other duties and special projects as required.

  • Actively participate in providing a safe and harmonious working environment for all employees.

  • Comply and enforce compliance of all state and federal regulations, Company standards and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct.

    What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field required. Certification in quality management (e.g., Six Sigma Black Belt, ASQ Certified Quality Manager) is advantageous .

  • 10+ years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment with at least 7 of those years in a quality role and at least 5 years in a management position.

  • Previous experience in a quality function relating to metal fabrication, metalworking and/or metal finishing environment is highly preferred.

  • Previous experience implementing LEAN methodologies such as statistical process control, root cause analysis and quality system programs and audits.

  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to create graphs and develop statistical information regarding product quality and process capability.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize projects under tight time deadlines.
