Nanostring Incoming Quality Control Inspector II in Mill Creek, Washington

Summary: The Incoming Quality Control Inspector II is responsible for performing a wide variety of inspections and evaluations of raw materials and accurately documenting results. Responsible for the release of raw materials in accordance with regulations and procedures. Assists with creating specifications for inspection of raw materials. Monitors critical inspection equipment and instrumentation. Writes and updates inspection procedures and checklists as necessary. Responsible for initiating nonconformance reports upon identification of product failure. Takes part in quality metric monitoring and other tasks to ensure Quality Compliance. Requirements: Knowledge and use of precision testing equipment and tools Knowledge of ISO 13485:2016 and FDA requirements Experience working in a regulated environment Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. Minimum education: High School diploma At least 3 years experience in a GMP environment or highly regulated industry Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team Essential Responsibilities: Utilize standard operating procedures, specifications, and drawings to perform quality inspection of raw materials and products Review of incoming inspection documentation for good documentation practices Disposition of incoming raw and intermediate materials Perform review and final approval of purchase orders for diagnostic product Assist with the initiation of Non-Conforming Material Reports Interact with Technical Service, Manufacturing, R&D, and other cross-functional team members in nonconformance investigation Proactively provide feedback on quality issues discovered during inspection activities Work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced dynamic team environment Other duties as assigned by Quality Supervisor/Management Preferred Qualifications: * Experience with EQMS (preferred) * ASQ certification (preferred) Target Base Salary Range: $53,000-$73,000 Base salary is an integral part of NanoString's total compensation package. Base salary considers an individual's skills, experience, and competitive market value. The base salary range represent what NanoString pays for a job within a salary grade based on external market data in comparison to similar positions from other companies in our industry. Employees generally enter a salary grade at the lower-to-mid-point in the range. Other compensation elements include a discretionary annual bonus, incentive compensation for sales roles, comprehensive benefit plans and paid time off, including designated holidays.
