Northeast Precast (NEP) has an immediate opening for a full-time Mechanic to help service our fleet of trucks and equipment. We are looking for an experienced mechanic but we are also willing to train the right candidate to perform the job requirements as listed below. This is an excellent opportunity to join a great South Jersey company. * Competitive hourly pay * Benefits - medical, dental, vision, life insurance, (basic dental and life insurance covered at no cost to the employee) * 401K with company match * Paid time off (holidays, vacation. and sick) * Overtime after 40 hours Duties: * Responsible for mechanical repair and maintenance/upkeep of heavy trucks, earth-moving, and related construction equipment: concrete mixers, trailers, dump trucks, pick-up trucks, and other company vehicles (forklifts, etc.) * Inspect, repair, and adjust diesel-powered units, hydraulic systems, injection valves and systems, moldboards, cable operated attachments, vehicle tires, etc. * Ability to diagnose defects in heavy-duty equipment * Must show a continuous effort to improve equipment, decrease turnaround time and work cooperatively with other mechanics and/or independently * Ability to use power tools and other automotive servicing equipment * Understand and follow safety procedures at all times * Perform some welding as needed * Keep equipment and work area clean and free of debris Qualifications: * Class A CDL driver's license preferred but not required * Have an acceptable motor vehicle record * Ability to stand for long periods, stoop or bend repeatedly Time management skills, responsible, honest, and hard-working a must!
