Compensation
Wage Range $25.00/hr. - $32.00/hr. based on qualifications & experience
Position Description
As a HVAC Sheet Metal Journeyman you will be responsible for layout, assembly and install of various brands of commercial and industrial equipment including chillers, boilers, cooling towers, AHU, duct, coils and pumps and associated equipment. Other responsibilities include communicating with customers by answering questions daily, communicating with supervisors with status updates and directing helpers.
HVAC Sheet Metal Journeymen also understand and complete the scope of work including managing assigned work to meet professional and efficient execution of time and customer satisfaction, performing repairs, documenting solutions and making recommendations for further action. Out of town, overnight travel may be required.

Qualifications
An HVAC Sheetmetal Journeyman shall demonstrate the following competencies:
Ability to read and understand construction drawings
Ability to work overhead from ladders, man lifts, scaffold, etc.
Ability to detail duct & duct fittings for fabrication in the field and from drawings
Ability to layout, install, seal duct systems
Ability to make field modifications to ductwork to fit unforeseen site conflicts
Ability to safely rig and set large / heavy equipment
Must possess and be proficient in the use of hand tools related to the trade
Must possess the ability to read and use a tape measure
Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
Ensures all activities are carried out in accordance with established specifications and schedules.
Ensures all work documentation is fully and accurately completed.
Produce quality work in a timely manner.
Adhere to company safety standards and protocols.
Responsible for keeping and maintaining a clean workspace.
The following items are preferable; however, they are not required for consideration:
Ability to install refrigeration piping systems
Ability to terminate electrical wiring at various HVAC equipment
Knowledge of CHW / HW systems
Capable of effectively directing apprentices.
The following qualifications along with individuals previous work experience will be considered by the company when evaluating applicants:
18 years of age or older
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
5 years’ experience Commercial and Industrial HVAC installation is preferred
5 years’ experience as HVAC sheet metal mechanic is preferred
OSHA 10 certification is preferred but not required
High school diploma or equivalent
Have and maintain a professional image
Flexibility to work overtime/weekends as required
Excellent communication skills
Must be willing to travel overnight as required
