Job Posting:

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Plant Operator to join our team in Monroe, WA. As a Plant Operator, you will safely and efficiently operate fixed and mobile equipment typically used in an aggregate plant. You will also provide routine maintenance of processing plants and conveyance systems.

What You'll Get to Do:

  • Operate mobile equipment on plant property (skid steer, forklift, and manlift.)

  • Safely and efficiently operate fixed and mobile aggregate plant equipment.

  • Maintain cleanliness of plant work areas

  • Assist with plant tasks including lubrication, maintenance, repairs

  • Transport materials to and from storage and shop areas

  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, and with company policies and procedures and rules/laws specified by site, city, state, federal

Essential Experience and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Ability to work in year-round weather conditions, extremes of hot and cold weather.

  • Must have the physical ability to: climb, stoop, bend, squat, lift (up to 75 lbs.), sit and stand for extended periods of time, kneel, climb ladders, and walk on varied terrain

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Experience operating skid steer, forklift, manlift, and other equipment a plus.

  • Mechanical experience a plus.

What We Have to Offer:

  • $41.88- $42.88/hour

Conditions of Employment:

  • Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.

  • Some positions require FMCSA regulated on-going drug and alcohol testing.

Work Environment:

  • Role operations primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
