JOB DESCRIPTION: Local processing plant is looking for a Refrigeration/Boiler Operator/Mechanic. Maintains, repairs and replaces refrigeration and boiler equipment. Supervises any apprentices and helpers. Performs a wide variety of mechanical maintenance and installation of complex equipment, and may direct a maintenance crew. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Monitors engine room and boiler room to ensure efficient functioning of equipment *Defrosts tunnels *Oils and lubricates machinery as directed *Operates engine room and boiler room to allow maximum production at minimum cost *Recognizes potential problems, troubleshoots, and takes correction action *Is in charge of installation of new equipment *Directs changes in layout and rebuilding of maintenance equipment *Rebuilds equipment as directed *Operates machinery during processing times *Performs routine maintenance on equipment *May direct a maintenance crew *Works cooperatively with shirt supervisors and all fellow employees *Must have a strong mechanical background *Drug testing is required as per duties of the job PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Industrial ammonia refrigeration experience preferred HOURS / DAYS / SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week SALARY / WAGE / BENEFITS: *Starts at $23.00 DOE *Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Vacation, and Sick Leave benefits available CLOSING DATE/DEADLINE: Job to close when filled HOW TO APPLY/REQUEST A REFERRAL : *Contact your nearest WorkSource Office in person with this job order number.
