The Americas GWS Team is looking for an energetic, passionate, analytical individual to take on the role of Campus Facilities Manager, for the Microsoft’s Silicon Valley Campus.

You will have the opportunity to work with Business Executives, internal business partners, and real estate portfolio managers to deliver engaging and supportive workplace experience for employees and productive customer engagement experience for regional and global customers. This position serves as primary interface with Business Division(s) and client disciplines focused on office space and the lab and specialty needs required to support Hardware, Software, and the next generation technologies needed to support the development of new products and services. This role enables GWS to thoughtfully incorporate the unique space and onsite experience requirements within the Campus.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Business Groups (BG) and Business Partners to align facility services and performance levels with business goals and drivers.

  • Oversee the day-to-day delivery of facilities services for the Campus and adjacent lab environments and manage business operations within budget through strategic relationships with the Facilities Management, Project Management, and Dining service providers and align multi-year plans that meet the business need for ongoing reliability, cost and future growth.

  • Insure representation and alignment with the established space governance model and guidelines.

  • Understand, forecast, and anticipate physical lab and specialty space requirements and related service needs, as articulated by Business leaders.

  • Manage execution of projects and approved plans across stakeholder groups aligning Business Group objectives with established portfolio optimization criteria, within approved timelines and expectations.

  • Ensure continuous process improvement programs are in place, cost savings opportunities are identified and implemented.

  • Execute strategic lifecycle planning efforts associated with building infrastructure systems applying governance and principles in creating multi-year plans.

  • Represent GWS in campus emergency response planning and corporate policy development.

  • Partner with GWS Real Estate Portfolio Manager on master planning, portfolio strategies, workplace programs, and Construction Project Services to ensure smooth operations across the Bay Area region.

  • Understand, forecast, and anticipate physical lab and specialty space requirements and related service needs, as articulated by BG representatives.

  • Insure all operational, environmental and regulatory reporting is completed as required and partner with HR on health and safety programs.

  • Support the facilities engineering discipline and implement strategic initiates to optimize assets and building systems.

  • Drive innovative initiatives for emerging technologies that showcase Microsoft products and enhance employee experience.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or degree equivalent in Business Administration (BBA), Finance, Engineering, Architecture, Construction/Project Management, Technology, Design, or related field AND 4+ years multinational corporate environment experience

  • OR Master's Degree or degree equivalent in Business Administration (MBA), Finance, Engineering, Architecture, Construction/Project Management, Technology, Design, or related field AND 2+ years multinational corporate environment experience

  • OR equivalent experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Client relationship skills with the ability to engage and build trusted relationships across all levels of multiple business groups to drive solutions, problem-solve, and lead in a demanding environment.

  • Knowledge of supplier protocol (e.g. method of delivery, quality of service, pricing and reporting), financial analysis and budget processes, contract administration and proposal process, procurement principles, vendor quality and productivity criteria and best practices in the areas of implementation, information, and service provider relationships.

  • Ability to utilize business intelligence and data to positively influence client and partner stakeholders to develop and prioritize strategic facilities and workplace experience plans in line with corporate strategic and financial goals.

  • Ability to plan at both a strategic and execution level and effectively present options and recommendations to partners and business stakeholders.

Facilities and Workplace Services IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $91,800 - $178,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $117,900 - $195,000 per year.
