The Direct Fulfillment channel allows Amazon to fulfill customer orders directly from our vendor’s warehouse, and is one of the fastest growing supply channels at Amazon. Through Direct Fulfillment (a.k.a dropship), our team enables broad in-stock selection for Amazon’s customers. The WW DF ACES Senior Program Manager is responsible for leading and implementing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies across a global organization with operations in 15 countries. This role will drive continuous improvement initiatives, process optimization, and operational excellence to enhance efficiency, productivity, and reduce defects. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders in multiple regions, provide training and coaching, and ensure the effective adoption of Lean and Six Sigma tools and processes. Additionally, they will play a crucial role in identifying and replicating best practices across different countries and locations, as well as utilizing Lean/Six Sigma methodologies to address complex organizational problems. Furthermore, this position will lead the learning and development pillar for the entire organization, fostering a culture of continuous improvement worldwide. Moreover, the role will define the roadmap and strategy for the ACES function, communicate internally and externally, participate in worldwide ACES events, learn from other organizations' ACES practices, and contribute to the global ACES community.

Key job responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive global Lean/6-Sigma program strategy aligned with the organization's goals and objectives, considering cultural and operational differences across various countries, communicate the strategy internally and externally, foster buy-in and engagement from stakeholders across all levels and regions.

  • Apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, tools, and techniques to address complex organizational problems, such as supply chain inefficiencies, quality issues, or process bottlenecks, across different regions and locations.

  • Facilitate Kaizen events, value stream mapping, and other continuous improvement activities to drive operational excellence across the global organization.

  • Benchmark, identify and replicate best practices and successful improvement initiatives across different countries and locations, fostering knowledge sharing and leveraging global synergies.

  • Lead the learning and development pillar for the entire organization, designing and implementing a comprehensive training program to build a culture of continuous improvement worldwide.

  • Provide training, mentoring, and coaching to the org on Lean and Six Sigma principles, tools, and techniques, and drive organizational change through effective communication and change management strategies.

  • Establish a global network of Lean and Six Sigma champions and ambassadors to promote and sustain the continuous improvement culture across the organization.

  • Participate in worldwide ACES events, conferences, and forums, representing the organization and sharing best practices and insights.

  • Learn from other organizations' ACES practices and initiatives, identifying opportunities for improvement and incorporating relevant learnings into the organization's ACES strategy.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

  • Demonstrated experience in applying Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to address complex organizational problems, such as supply chain inefficiencies, quality issues, or process bottlenecks.

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously across different regions.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and drive data-driven decision-making.

  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization and driving change

  • Experience working cross functionally/regionally, Willingness to travel globally

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

  • Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving standardization

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels and across different cultures.

  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred;

  • Experience of Six Sigma/Lean analytical techniques

  • Results oriented and with a strong customer focus

  • Ability to make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $92,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
