The Position
Custodial Workers perform general cleaning services to State facilities using various cleaning equipment and materials to provide a safe, hygienic and orderly work environment.

The Division of Public and Behavioral Health (DPBH), Lakes Crossing Center (LCC) is recruiting for a Custodial Worker 2 position. The main purpose of this position is to maintain a clean and hygienic environment for LCC employees and clients. Duties include cleaning administrative and secured areas, offices and client rooms, carpets and hard floors, walls, windows, vents, ceilings, and light fixtures; removing and picking up trash; cleaning-up bio-hazard materials and performing other duties as assigned. Custodial Workers perform general cleaning services to State facilities using various cleaning equipment and materials to provide a safe, hygienic and orderly work environment. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Graduation from high school or equivalent education and one year of custodial or janitorial experience in a commercial, industrial, hospital, governmental or similar environment; OR six months of general work experience and one year of custodial or janitorial experience in a commercial, industrial, hospital, governmental or similar environment; OR six months of experience as a Custodial Worker I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.Special Notes
Incumbents may be required to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays in addition to their normal work schedules.Special Requirements
A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items. This position requires the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. A valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.The Examination
