The Position

Workforce Services Representatives provide a broad range of services in accordance with the Workforce Investment Act; assist job seeking customers and business customers seeking qualified applicants; and provide priority employment services to eligible veterans and disabled veterans as defined by the Department of Labor.

PER EXECUTIVE ORDER 2023-11, ALL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS HAVE BEEN WAIVED FOR THIS POSITION UNTIL JUNE 30th, 2024. You must respond to the minimum qualification screening question to ensure that your application moves forward. This position also works with employment services customers for assistance with job searches, resume creation assistance and building interview skills. This position is an underfill of a Workforce Services Rep 2. The incumbent will progress to the next level upon meeting minimum qualifications. Bilingual in English and Spanish is required. To Qualify:

In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)

Graduation from high school or equivalent education and two years of experience which included providing services to customers; reading and applying written policies, procedures, or instructions; operating personal computers to enter and retrieve data; and interviewing individuals to gather information; OR a Bachelors degree in social or behavioral science, business administration, or related field; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.

Special Requirements

A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprint is required. Person's offered employment in this position will be required to pay for the fingerprinting.

Additional Position Criteria

Must be bilingual in Spanish and English.
