Job Description

Overview:

We are currently looking for a Strategy Planner to support the day-to-day Media Planning and Strategy functions for our new client. This person will assist a team in the development, execution, and stewardship of strategy planning for client’s business and report directly to the Associate Director of Strategy.

Desired Skillset:

  • Proficiency in MS Office suite: PowerPoint, Excel, etc.

  • Previous experience with Audience Planning tools and insight development (i.e. GWI/MRI)

  • Previous experience with competitive analysis tool (Kantar/Vivvix, Pathmatics, iSpot, Moat, etc.)

  • Strong budget management skillset; both in managing excel budget planning and industry tools (i.e. MediaTools)

  • Time Management & Prioritization; ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously

  • Proactiveness in problem solving; resourceful and solutions oriented

  • Eagerness to learn new client industry, internal processes, and ways of working

  • Ability to work well in collaboration with other team members, as well as being able to manage projects individually when required

Role Objectives:

  • Ability to contribute to and present strategic approach recommendations; familiar with industry campaign planning tools (i.e. NMI) to run channel mix scenario planning and RF scenarios

  • Lead or contribute to client statuses; helping to manage campaign planning timelines and ad-hoc deliverables

  • Lead or contribute to ongoing competitive analysis leveraging industry tools to aggregate date, formulate insights or trends, and present visually to clients and internal stakeholders

  • Lead or contribute to maintain holistic budget flowcharts, inputting changes into budget planning tools, and issuing budget reports to clients on ongoing cadence

  • Assist in client ad hoc request for competitive insights, emerging trends, or other ad hoc needs. Help to formulate agency POVs

Qualifications

  • B.A. or B.S., preferably in Marketing, Advertising, or related field

  • 1+ years of experience in media planning/strategy

  • Agency experience highly preferred

  • Prior experience with National and Local planning

  • Preferable Computer Skills/Software Knowledge: Microsoft Suite, Kantar/Vivvis, MediaTools, R/F and Optimization Software (NMI, Tardiis, ComScore), Brand Health Tools (YouGov), Social Tracking tools, GWI

  • Basic knowledge of all cross-channel media, with a drive for curiosity and passion for the client’s business

  • Demonstrate ability to learn new propriety software and processes quickly and proficiently

  • Solid written and verbal skills, with ability to present to clients, maintain client correspondence and internal documentation

  • Detail-oriented, good follow through, able to multi-task, and work well under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Meet client and internal deadlines and obligations

  • Manage projects, resources, stakeholders, and participants

  • Be a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems/issues

Additional Information

Compensation Range: $51,000 - $73,500 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
