The Microsoft Defense Team is seeking an Account Technology Strategist for the Navy Account Team.

Responsibilities

The Account Technology Strategist (ATS) play a pivotal role in synthesizing and providing industry/technology insights to the team based on their expertise in technology platforms, customer businesses and ability to build digital transformation (DT) strategy with the customer that is aligned to business outcomes. This role is responsible for building and strengthening customer and partner relationships through technical engagements.

• Proactively builds and maintains knowledge of Microsoft's product landscape, solutions, and strategy in the industry of assigned accounts.

• Understand customers’ mission, business and IT priorities and success measures to design solutions that drive Microsoft Cloud adoption and business value.

• Apply technical knowledge to architect and design solutions that meet business and IT needs, create digital transformation roadmaps, drive Proof of Concepts (POCs).

• Maintain technical skills and knowledge, keeping up to date with market trends and competitive insights; collaborate and share with the account team and across the Microsoft Federal organization while educating customers on Microsoft’s products.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business or related field AND 7+ years technical consulting, technical consultative selling, practice building, or related technical/sales/industry experience

  • OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements

Citizenship & Citizenship Verification: This role will require access to information that is controlled for export under export control regulations, potentially under the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations or Export Administration Regulations, the EU Dual Use Regulation, and/or other export control regulations. As a condition of employment, the successful candidate will be required to provide proof of citizenship, U.S. permanent residency, or other protected status (e.g., under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3)) for assessment of eligibility to access the export-controlled information. To meet this legal requirement, and as a condition of employment, the successful candidate’s citizenship will be verified with a valid passport. Lawful permanent residents, refugees, and asylees may verify status using other documents, where applicable.

Citizenship & Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States federal, state, and/or local government agency customers and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. To meet this legal requirement, and as a condition of employment, the successful candidate’s citizenship will be verified with a valid passport.

Cloud Screening:

Candidates must be able to successfully complete and pass a Microsoft Cloud background screening. Required Cloud Screenings will be administered on a recurring bi-annual basis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business or related field AND 10+ years technical consulting, technical consultative selling, practice building, or related technical/sales/industry experience

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a United States Security Clearance.

  • Experience with the United States Navy.

Strategic Account Technology IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $124,800 - $242,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $159,000 - $264,000 per year.
