USG Corporation Industrial Electrician - Oakfield in Oakfield, New York

  1. Operation of electrical test equipment including voltmeter and amprobe
  2. Install, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot motor control and lighting systems using wiring schematics
  3. Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair motors
  4. Install various electrical controls
  5. Interpret electrical schematics and symbols, to troubleshoot and install equipment
  6. Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
  7. Must be willing to learn additional Electrician skills

  1. Must have a basic understanding of electrical concepts such as 480 volt.
  2. Must have an understanding of NFPA 70E code.
  3. Must be able to accept “on-call” responsibility.
  4. Must be able to run rigid aluminum conduit is a plus.
  5. Must have safe working practices.
  6. Must have the ability to effectively handle multiple tasks
  7. Must have basic mathematic skills.
  8. Must have verbal and written communication skills
  9. The ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  10. Basic PLC and VFD drive knowledge is a plus.
  11. Must demonstrate the ability to work without direct supervision.
  12. Must complete basic electrical skills questionnaire.
