Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a Transportation Technical Engineer to fill the Incident Management Coordinator vacancy located in Olympia, WA. This position will support the existing local Virtual Coordination Center (VCC) program by leveraging technical expertise and strong problem-solving skills to ensure the smooth functioning and operation of the VCC and its team members, help to identify, create, and maintain relationships for adding additional agency partners in the King County area initially, and support the overall WSDOT department goals of Resiliency, Inclusion, and Workforce Development. The Incident Management Coordinator will cultivate and maintain relationships with the VCC members, Joint Operations Groups manager, Incident Response Team program manager and IRT members. The position will also recommend strategies and tools to address overall system impacts and improvements resulting from major incidents statewide.
