Manager - Business Administration
Job Summary
Manages day-to-day operations and business administration of a large University unit/department. Utilizes a data-driven, strategic approach and implements strategic short- and long-range planning and strategies. Oversees budgetary matters, allocates resources, and performs payroll related functions. Directs relevant business programs and technologies.
Essential Functions
Specific Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day operational management of CPACE, including designated admin and technical staff
- Support the administrative needs of faculty related to all CPACE projects
- Liaison with business partners (UPMC Enterprises) to ensure project management aligns with established goals
- Oversee developmental projects for the Division including space utilization, renovations, and equipment ordering
- Manage inventory of all CPACE capital equipment
- Assist faculty with meeting academic goals
- Work with University pre-award and post-award accounting team as needed
- Assist CPACE leadership in developing policies and procedures.
Physical Effort
This is primarily a sedentary position. However, some walking between areas will be necessary.
