Peter.Danielson@roberthalf.c0m at Robert Half currently has a permanent position open for an experienced Senior Accountant with drive and know-how to join a well established team in the Pearl District in Portland, Oregon. As a Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager (DOE), you will be responsible for financial statement preparation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, project/billing analysis, and internal control maintenance. Key responsibilities
- Project accounting/billing
-Transparent and accurate reporting of project budgets, variances, and vendor management
-Present Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Prepare financial analysis on trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.
Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Administer Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Partake in various department-wide initiatives
Uphold company standards when working with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls; while also providing support on special requests when required
Allocate and prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis reports for management
Continuously analyze current automation of the accounting and reporting process and present improvement suggestions
Requirements
5+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
-Experience in the Architecture, Engineering, or Construction industries required
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
High attention to detail
The ideal candidate will be highly-skilled with exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills
Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Exceptional time management skills preferred
Knowledgeable of ERP systems
Proficiency in financial statement preparation
Solid understanding of Project Cost
Deltek experience preferred
Ability to meet deadlines
Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills
