POSITION SUMMARY

The Repair Technician I perform mechanical and electrical repairs on the Nomad products. This is including, but not limited to: inspection, assessment, repair, and service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Able to perform all duties and responsibilities of a Complaint Investigator I-II & Repair Tech I per work instruction; primary responsibility of this role is LE & Nomad support.

  • Completes quality investigations, enters complaint investigation results and conclusions into SAP for regulatory compliance.

  • Makes accept/reject decisions regarding each piece, part, or product.

  • Investigate equipment to verify failure and complete necessary steps in SAP.

  • Follow work repair instructions and procedures to repair and service multiple product lines.

  • Final product verification and calibration to ensure all processes have been strictly followed and all parts and accessories are included, as well as proper sign off in place.

  • Test and evaluate incoming returns and repairs against original manufacturer standards.

  • Maintain proper inventory levels at work cell and supply areas.

  • Properly transact repair orders, inventory movements, and estimate quotations in SAP system.

  • Maintain standard documentation for completed repair work.

  • Maintain daily productivity sheet achieves target goals daily.

  • Communicate required information with Technical Service & Customer Service as necessary.

  • Assist with rush orders.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work area and department.

  • Communicate root cause analysis of advanced repair issues to internal and external customers.

  • Expertly navigate in SAP and be able to extract data for leaders to assist with analysis.

  • Cross-train on other equipment and new products as necessary

  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be able to read, comprehend, follow, and instruct others on repair work instructions.

  • Excellent technical aptitude with the ability to adapt quickly to changes in product line and troubleshooting methods.

  • Basic level computer skills to properly transact inventory, generate repair quotations and complete repairs.

  • Ability to communicate quality, safety, or other concerns to appropriate associates and supervisors.

  • Ability to be flexible to meet daily demands of production requirements.

  • Ability to address problems and present solutions while maintaining continuous improvement mindset.

Education and/or Experience:

  • HS Diploma or equivalent.

  • Experience in reading and utilizing circuit board schematics and wiring diagrams.

  • 1 year experience in a regulated manufacturing or repair of electro-mechanical equipment

  • Proficient with computers, software, and operating systems such as Windows 10, and MS Office required.

  • Experience with computer networking & intermediate excel required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years in manufacturing or repair of dental or medical x-ray equipment

  • 2+ year experience in operational role navigating SAP.

Physical Requirements:

Able to assemble small components. Good manual dexterity and hand and eye coordination. Able to physically lift and carry up to 35 lbs. occasionally. Must be able to stand at workstation for long periods of time.

Target Market Salary Range:

Actual compensation packages take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location; skill sets; relevant education and certifications; depth of experience; performance; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed reasonable estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Envista, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The total compensation package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, medical/dental/vision benefits, 401K match, and/or other applicable compensation plans.

$20.10 - $22.90 per hour
