Summary Description:  The goal of Billerud's Fiber Supply Internship program is to cultivate the development of a potential future fiber supply forester to join our Billerud team. The internship program will be structured to provide candidates with opportunities to gain workplace experiences and increase one's development in their chosen discipline as well as educate them on other opportunities within the Billerud organization. As part of this internship, the candidate will design and execute a project study that pertains to the fiber supply department. The fiber supply team will provide a list of projects the candidate may choose from. At the conclusion of the internship, the candidate will present their project findings to a leadership panel for evaluation and feedback. Although there is no guarantee of future employment, our goal is to have our fiber supply intern fully capable of stepping into a full-time position within our organization. Key Accountabilities: Assist with safety trainings, mill tours, scale duties, pulpwood quality control, and yard unloading procedures Gain an understanding of Billerud's certification standards and data collection tools Design and execute a project study by the end of the internship Assist staff members with the day-to-day metrics, delivery schedules, inventory levels, forecasting models, purchase availability, and all other aspects of the job Test mileage data points from logging sites to delivery destinations Collect data from LIMS and entering information into operational models Assist with physical inventory measurements and data collection at wood yards Visit active logging sites Join weekly operational meetings and possess a willingness to share ideas

Required Skills Required Experience and Education: Minimum Required Experience and Education: Forestry, Natural Resources, GIS, or other curriculums related to the forest products industry Minimum 2.75 GPA Must be attending college (2-year, 4-year, or master's degree) Must be legally authorized to work permanently in the United States for other than practical training (Student work VISA does not qualify) Must have a valid driver's license
