Salary: $189,576/year to $223,850/year + bonus + equity + benefits.
Individual pay is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Duties:
Collaborate with electrical engineers and research scientists to transform experimental hardware, software, and services into prototype interactive experiences. Implement electronic support for audio features within multimodal experience development. Work with world-class scientists, designers, and electrical engineers developing breakthrough electronic technologies necessary for virtual, mixed, and augmented reality. Develop spatial and perceptual audio experiences for AR and VR projects that demonstrate the full potential of 3D audio using future state research technology. Perform work in both AR and VR domains, and incorporate them into larger multisensory and multi-modal experiences used in user research studies, technology demos, and functional prototypes.
Requirements:
Requires a Master's degree in Electronic Engineering, Audio Engineering, Music Technology, or a related field. 12 months of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Foreign degree equivalent accepted.
Experience must include 12 months involving the following skills and technologies:
- Unity;
- Matlab;
- C++, C#, and Python;
- Audio Middleware, including Wwise, FMOD, and SKAT;
- Audio Signal Processing;
- Max and MSP; and
- DAWs, including Live and Reaper.
