Job Description

Insight Global is hiring for a Software Engineer IV to work with a top research team at Meta Reality Labs. Your work will be used in building research platforms, user research studies, technology demos, and proof of concept prototypes. The ideal candidate is a highly creative individual who has expertise in 3D interactive experiences and proficiency in Unity. You'll be responsible for designing and developing infrastructure and interactions within Unity.

Your work will entail supporting ongoing projects, building new infra, and ensuring parity of useful Unreal and Unity infrastructure. You'll work closely with designers, engineers, and researchers at Reality Labs Research. This position is full-time and based on site in Redmond.

Work closely with researchers and designers to develop and maintain new XR interaction infrastructure

Ensure feature parity of useful infrastructure between Unreal and Unity

Clearly articulate prototyping decisions to a vast set of internal stakeholders

Contribute to strategic decisions, working with engineering and research teams

Collaborate to build internal prototyping toolsets and processes

Define and synthesize user requirements and actively participate in technical discussions

Help align cross-functional teams by developing pipelines and workflows

Give and solicit feedback from others to raise the quality of our work

Quickly solve issues with your cross-functional leads

Skills and Requirements

3+ years of experience with React

3+ years experience developing JavaScript

3+ years of experience on web development

Strong knowledge of object oriented design and associated design patterns

Portfolio featuring examples of interactive prototype work Experience with AR/VR development

Proficiency with game engine development

Experience working with designers and research scientists

Full stack backend experience, including server side infrastructure and database management

3D art/design experience (e.g., character/motion rigging and animation) null
