Description/Job Summary

The electrical technician is responsible for electrical, electronics, and maintenance of all equipment. Performs other duties as needed.

Responsibilities/Duties

Troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of all electrical/electronic equipment.

Performs preventative maintenance (PM) of electrical and mechanical equipment.

Assists Maintenance technician in the lubrication and repair of mechanical equipment.

Troubleshoots, repairs, and modifies programmable logic controller (PLC) software used for automated process equipment.

Identify parts and assist tool room in the requisition and inventory of tools, spare parts, and equipment.

Design, assembles, and installs new electrical equipment and systems.

Required Education

Industrial maintenance degree or similar from state certified technical school or community college is required.

Completion of a 4 year electrical apprenticeship can be substituted.

A strong background in industrial electronics and troubleshooting is required.
