GE Healthcare MILITARY DoD SKILLBRIDGE Administrative Coordinator in Remote, Illinois

The Military DoD SkillBridge program is an opportunity for Service members to gain valuable civilian work experience through specific industry training, apprenticeships, or internships during the last 180 days of service. SkillBridge connects Service members with industry partners in real-world job experiences under Dept. of Defense Instruction 1322.29. Separating Service members can be granted up to 180 days of permissive duty to focus solely on training full-time with approved industry partners after unit commander (first O-4/Field Grade commander in chain of command) provides written authorization and approval. GE HealthCare as a Skill Bridge partner offers real-world training and work experience in in-demand fields of work while having the opportunity to evaluate the Service member’s suitability for the work. Military DoD SkillBridge participants are not eligible for compensation from GE HealthCare, as they continue to receive military compensation and benefits as active-duty service members.

Job Description

  • MUST BE ACTIVE DUTY MILITARY TO QUALIFY Role Summary/Purpose The Administrative Coordinator provides support for the US and Canada Service Engineers at GE HealthCare. Essential Responsibilities Key responsibilities/essential functions include:-Use a database system to address and close service requests-Enter customer data using source document-Communicate across teams to gather and relay impactful information-Help with administrative tasks such as scheduling, organization and generating reports Qualifications/Requirements Required Qualifications:-ACTIVE DUTY MILITARY-Associates degree or equivalent and one of administrative experience; or High school diploma, GED, or local equivalent and two years or more of administrative experience.-Strong demonstrated communication skills, articulating complex ideas in an easy-to-understand manner.-Demonstrated project management skills to plan and deliver on established tactical and strategic goals.-Experience using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint applications as well as use of the internet and web applications (i.e. ability to draft correspondence and create PowerPoint presentations for leadership team) and a basic understanding of Excel to create charts, diagrams, and tables of data.-Strong working knowledge of local language (written and verbal).-Extremely well organized, with attention to detail, yet able to multi-task in an environment of changing priorities.-Strong customer service skillsDesired Characteristics- Bachelor’s degree or three years of administration experience- Understanding of Excel to manage and interpret tables of data
