This is a remote role that requires the candidate to work onsite at customer locations. To provide onsite customer support, candidate needs to reside in the Roanoke VA area.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

Perform routine preventive maintenance on medical equipment. Evaluate, troubleshoot, repair, test equipment in need of service. Must exhibit good computer skills, communication skills (verbal and written) and an ability to work with others, possibly in a team format. Able to follow detailed written instructions.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; OR equivalent military education; OR participant in the formal GEHC Biomed/FE Services Internship or Military Externship program; OR High School Diploma/GED and 2+ years of experience servicing electrical, electronics, IT or mechanical equipment.

  • Analytical and communication skills with the ability to communicate technical issues to the customer in an easy-to-understand manner.

Desired Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience performing troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on basic electronic, electromechanical, or medical equipment following current standards, code, and procedures to ensure safe and effective operation of those devices.

  • Strong knowledge of electronic digital circuitry and understanding of electronic and electro-mechanical devices.

  • Experience performing effective repair and planned maintenance on basic biomedical or electronic equipment.
