Description:

• Reads plans and specifications.

• Proactively assists in the preparation of submittals, document control, meeting documentation, change cost data entry and quality documentation.

• Supports and documents the project team’s daily safety efforts.

• Interprets shop drawings, submittals, change orders and RFI’s.

• Assists project team to monitor timely delivery of materials in accordance with the project schedule.

• Complete basic surveying and scheduling courses or gain commensurate field experience.

• Maintains records and minutes of jobsite meetings as required.

• Demonstrates both written and verbal communication skills.

• Assists in preparing subcontractor preconstruction meeting materials and attend preconstruction meetings and orientations.

• Assists in review of submittals, RFIs, and other various construction documentations.

• Assists in project closeout requirements including “As-Builts” and “Red-Line” documents.

• Develops a basic understanding of project management software or similar software.

• Develops a basic understanding of the company technology program.

• Complies with Safety Program, OSHA guidelines, and Company policies, procedures, and standards.

• Promotes integrity, honesty, hard work, safety, and quality throughout all aspects of the project

• Performs additional assignments as directed by management or as required for successful project completion.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• 2 year degree from tech school

• 2-3 years' experience as APM or Project Engineer

• Experience as APM or Project Engineer at subcontractor

• Ability to perform submittals, tracking changes, receiving drawings and distributing them, scheduling, etc.

• Demonstrate dependability and initiative
