    The Project Manager is the primary contact for Specialized Gear Services (SGS) customers and will be responsible for quotation preparation and project management of orders to ensure on-time delivery. The position requires an individual that demonstrates a customer-centric work ethic, has excellent communications skills, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This position interacts with both the external customer and the corporation with regards to project status and execution throughout the scope of the project.

    Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for all facets of customer relations in SGS including quotation preparation and presentation, acceptance of orders, and project management of orders received.

  • Specific responsibilities include quoting, sales order creation/closure, shipment preparation, and accounts receivable collections using SAP ERP system.

  • Support quoting and order processing for Gear Solution Engineering Team (Heat Treat, Application Engineering and Training) as needed.

  • Problem solving in a team environment using Lean methodologies including Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action tools will be required.

  • Responsible for assuring product shipment is on time and supporting timely collection and resolution of account receivables.

  • Responsible for leading and/or supporting front end CIP’s.

  • Answers incoming calls pertaining to SGS sales and services.

  • Work with Quality team to Assist with customer communications regarding quality concerns/issues.

  • Responsible for helping attain business growth objectives for both the company and department strategy deployment goals (SDs).

  • Assist in creating sustainable processes for customer parts and projects.

  • Travels to customer facilities as requested by Management.

  • Assist with customer/vendor entertainment as requested by Management.

  • Prepare project plans as required to ensure effective project management and on time delivery.

  • Review orders as candidates for outsource manufacturing and assist in the process.

    Responsible for negotiation and management of large, complex contracts and changes, review of proposal preparation; responsible for delivery, technical baseline, and terms and conditions. Performs contract review and acceptance; administers and monitors contract performance. Manages scope of the work and schedule to ensure customer satisfaction and contract compliance throughout manufacturing, purchasing and finance.
