The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Manufacturing Engineering team, where they will work on the Infrared Countermeasures suite of products as a Test Engineer.

Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Researches, designs, develops, tests, and identifies improvements / corrective actions for a variety of electronic equipment and systems, including Lasers, Laser Transmitters, Ultraviolet sensors, Infrared sensors, and system Processors.

along with an assortment of test equipment and associated systems. Having experience in programming in C++, National Instruments Labwindows/CVI, and/or Labview is a plus.

  • Troubleshooting production hardware to determine the root cause of failures and identify corrective actions

  • Support production floor and test technicians

  • Optimizing processes to reduce cost and increase throughput

  • Maintaining processes and procedures per ISO standards

  • Working with suppliers to resolve technical hardware issues

  • Creating and analyzing metrics to target cost improvements

  • Hardware integration and test

  • Interface with and present to customers

  • Create engineering documentation (change notices, parts lists, bills of materials, test reports, test procedures)

  • Support transition technologies from design to production

Basic Qualifications Engineer Electronics:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Engineering Technology with more than 2 years of related electrical engineering experience

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

  • Proficient in MS Office

  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

Basic Qualifications Principal Electronics Engineer:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or engineering technology with 5+ years of related experience

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

  • Proficient in MS Office

  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance and US Citizenship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Laser test equipment

  • Experience with data mining/correlation studies

  • Networking and troubleshooting test stations

  • Experience troubleshooting hardware

  • Experience with MATLAB

  • Experience with IRCM hardware and support equipment

MANUMS

Salary Range: $83,300 - $124,900

Salary Range 2: $102,400 - $153,600

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
