Job Summary: The Finance & Accounting department is searching for a detail-oriented, analytical professional to handles Billing & Accounts Receivable (AR) while assisting across the board in all areas of accounting.

To be successful, the candidate must a high attention to detail, excellent organizational and record keeping skills, as well as a willingness to work with members of other SVR teams and those in accounting are key to success in this role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Billing & Accounts Receivable (AR)

o Process, verify, post, and prepare sales invoices for distribution to customers.

o Process and post customer payments by recording cash, checks, and ACH transactions.

o Research discrepancies and unidentified deposits.

o Generate timely reports and statements for internal and customer use.

o Process credit, debit memos and charge backs.

o Posting and reconciling AR to the GL

• Account Collections

o Administers AR aging report and collect past due balances

o Send bill reminders and contact clients to discuss their accounts.

o Work and communicate with sales, customer service and operations teams to coordinate handling of outstanding accounts.

o Review and recommend credit balance amounts and terms for new or changing customer accounts.

• Customer File Management

o Create and maintain customer account information in the company system.

o Processing credit applications. Periodically review credit for existing accounts.

o Research and resolve account discrepancies.

• General Accounting Support

o Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.

o Assist senior accountant in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings and reporting

o Prepare and submit recurring and ad-hoc reports

o Participate in all financial audits

o Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures, recommending changes

o Miscellaneous tasks as assigned

o MS Office (extensive knowledge in Excel)

Supervisory Responsibilities:

No supervisory responsibilities for this position.

Travel:

Minimal travel is expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience

• At least five (5) years of accounts receivable and collections.

• Some demonstrated experience in General Accounting, including general ledger account reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and involvement in external audits.

• AA degree in Accounting or equivalent experience; Working knowledge of accounting principles Requirements Accounting Software Systems, Great Plains (GPAC), IBM AS/400, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suites, Accounting Functions, Accounts Receivable (AR), Billing Functions, Cash Activity, Check Processing
