GREENLEAF CORPORATION HAND FORM SET-UP OPERATOR in Saegertown, Pennsylvania

Summary:

Set up and operate a variety of manually operated grinding and boring machines for the production of machined carbide cutting tips and inserts to acceptable tolerances.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret router, blueprints, planning sheets, sketches and related technical data to determine requirements, fixture set-up procedures, control setting and machining methods and sequences.
  • Calculate and set machine controls to position spindle in relationship to work piece and to regulate factors such as boring speed, feed rates and clearance angles.
  • Mount, align and secure tooling attachments and work piece.
  • Select and install grinding wheels and dress wheels as required.
  • Start machine and monitor machine operation to detect malfuntions.
  • Verify dimensions of finished work pieces for conformance to specification.
  • Manually adjust machine controls and monitor machine operations makings adjustments as required.
  • Clean all parts and visually inspect them for missing or incomplete operations.
  • Comply with all safety, quality, work rules and regulations.
  • All other duties as assigned.
