The Division of Pediatric Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine at the University of Utah Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine has openings for two pediatric sleep medicine physicians. The focus of the position will be in Pediatric Sleep Medicine and will provide outpatient clinical sleep services and interpretation of sleep studies. If Pulmonology trained, will assist with inpatient and outpatient pulmonary consultative services and shared call at Primary Children’s Hospital ( PCH ) in Salt Lake City, Utah, and at the new PCH Miller Campus in Lehi, Utah, commensurate with other members of the division. In addition to clinical service, there is an expectation for academic work, including education, investigation, administration, as well as advocacy. Depending on experience there may be opportunities for research responsibilities.

The Sleep Medicine Division consists of three sleep physicians and one advanced practice provider. The Pulmonary Division consists of eight pulmonologists, one general pediatrician and four advanced practice providers. The Division of Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine has an AASM accredited sleep center, a multidisciplinary sleep clinic, a Cystic Fibrosis Foundation accredited center, a fully functional pulmonary function lab, a multidisciplinary aerodigestive program, and a multidisciplinary technology dependent patient program, and provides comprehensive clinical services in sleep medicine, pulmonary medicine, multidisciplinary management of airway disorders and neuromuscular disorders. Academic affiliation with the University of Utah School of Medicine provides teaching opportunities for pediatric fellows, residents, and medical students on a regular basis.

Qualified candidates must be Board Eligible/Board Certified in Pediatrics and in Pediatric Sleep Medicine. Advance training in Pediatric Pulmonology is preferred. The selected candidate will receive a faculty appointment in the Department of Pediatrics on the Clinical or Tenure track at the academic level commensurate with experience and qualifications.
