Position Title:

Maintenance Journeyman Level 1

Pay Rate: $34.78

Category/Shift:

Hourly Full-Time, Monday – Friday, weekends as needed

1st Shift: 7:00AM - 3:00PM

2nd Shift: 3:00PM -11:00 PM

3rd Shift: 11:00PM - 7:00AM

The Job You Will Perform:

  • Following all safety rules, policies and practices

  • Performing preventive maintenance activities such as lubricating, measuring wear, measuring positions, repositioning components and observing operations to determine proper functions

  • Performing emergency/breakdown maintenance as necessary to support plant operations

  • Ability to use multi-meter(s) to test electrical circuits, components, etc. using DC or AC voltage

  • Ability to read and understand electrical block diagrams and wiring schematics

  • Ability to exchange motors, gearboxes, sheaves, sprockets, belts, chains, etc. with proper alignment upon assembly

  • Fully understand functions of limit and proximity switches and their effects to PLC’s

  • Ability to troubleshoot AC and DC drive systems to determine cause of faults or failures

  • Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic systems controlled by switches or PLC’s

  • Ability to troubleshoot pneumatic systems from solenoids, switches, valves, etc.

  • Knowledge with conveyor system and their operations

  • Familiar with a diverse range of hand tools and their operations such as grinders, drills, reciprocating saws, etc.

  • Self-motivated, able to follow through to completion with assigned responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in respect to the “5-S Program”

  • Ability to openly communicate

  • Ability to effectively work with internal customers in the facility to maintain a strong working relationship between production employees and maintenance

The Skills You Will Bring:

  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Five years of maintenance experience (preferred) with at least one year with the same employer.

  • Candidate must have the ability to accurately read a measuring tape and ruler; ability to use basic math

  • Candidate must also demonstrate a sincere interest and desire to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment

  • Candidate must have the ability to follow instructions, ask questions, and work effectively as a member of team. a proven leader, goal oriented, self-starter, good communicator and computer literate.

  • Candidate must have a firm understanding of driving safety culture, adhering to corporate and human resources policy.
